TYNGSBOROUGH – Susan (Shipley) Bordeleau, age 65, a longtime resident of Tyngsborough, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 15, 2023. She was the beloved wife of Gerard G. “Chuck” Bordeleau, Jr. with whom she had shared over 45 years of marriage.
Born in Lowell on November 11, 1957, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Theresa (Abreu) Shipley. She was educated in the Tyngsborough school system and was a graduate of Tyngsborough High School and was a longtime member of the Evangelical Congregational Church of Tyngsboro.
Sue enjoyed cooking, recreating new recipes and watching cooking shows. Her true love was her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she loved to spoil.
She was a foster mother for many years, having touched the lives of several children as well as she worked for the Tyngsboro School Department as a café manager.
Surviving her in addition to her loving husband Chuck are two daughters and a son-in-law, Melissa St. Louis and her husband Brian of Tyngsborough and Deborah Bordeleau of Dracut; three grandchildren, Hailey, Brandon and Michael; a brother and sister-in-law, William and Doreen Shipley of Tyngsborough; a sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Robert Tremblay of Tyngsborough; a nephew, Scott Bordeleau of Dorchester; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Service on Wednesday, Jan. 25, at 10 a.m. at the Evangelical Congregational Church of Tyngsboro, 23 Kendall Rd., Tyngsborough. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in Sue’s memory to a veteran’s organization of your choice.
