Robert M. Trottier (Bob), age 69, passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at his home in Tyngsborough, Massachusetts.
Born in Lowell on June 2, 1954, Robert was a son of the late Albert A. and Norma A. (Mosher) Trottier. He was raised in the Centralville section of Lowell and had attended the former St. Louis de France Church where he served as an altar boy and was involved in the scouting program, earning the Pope Pius XII award as an Eagle Scout. Robert excelled in challenging academics at Keith Academy, and graduated from Bishop Guertin High School. He was a lifelong learner who never lost his curiosity.
Bob was employed as a weaver at Joan Fabrics in Lowell, and later ran the dye room for a large textile mill in Maine. His personable nature, attention to detail, and direct honesty allowed him to have success as a store and restaurant manager in a variety of settings.
Following his recovery from lifesaving surgeries, Robert attended Middlesex Community College where he earned an associate’s degree in information technology.
Bob especially enjoyed trout fishing, reading (particularly Kurt Vonnegut), gardening, camping, hiking, cooking and making cookies with his grandchildren. He played drums in bands wherever he went. Bob also had a passion for electronic music and was known to many as the “Dinosaur King”, performing original music solo and in groups across New England.
