Robert W. Vivier, Sr, age 75, a resident of the Pawtucketville section of Lowell passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022 after a brief illness. He was surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Pauline (Montminy) Vivier for over 54 years.
Born in Lowell on July 3, 1946, he was the son of the late Arthur and Annette (Albert) Vivier.
Coach Viv was a volunteer with the P.Y.O Baseball league for over 38 years. He mentored generations of countless players. Teaching the game he loved to so many. Making lifelong friendships along the way.
Bob bowled for decades at Lowell Brunswick lanes. He participated in several tournaments throughout the years. He was also a volunteer bowling coach in his earlier years.
Bob was a member of the East End club of Lowell where he played in various cribbage leagues.
Proud of being un-retired, he was the manager of American Auto Body in Lowell for 50 years. He was also a licensed auto appraiser.
Bob enjoyed spending time with his two grandsons and was an instrumental part of their lives.
Surviving him in addition to his wife Pauline are a daughter and son-in-law, Paula & James Descheneaux of Lowell; a son, Robert W. Vivier, Jr of Tyngsborough and his partner Charliene Casey. Two grandsons, Tyler M. Descheneaux and Ryan J. Descheneaux. A sister, Dolores Quirbach of Billerica; a brother and sister-in-law, with whom he worked with for 50 years, Joseph & Angeline Vivier of Pelham, NH; his beloved dog Jack; many nieces & nephews including a special niece, Rose-Marie Bergeron. He was also the father of the late Cheryl Ann Vivier.
Relatives and friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME 4 Cassaway Drive, Tyngsborough on Thursday, June 9, from 4 to 8 p.m. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning at 11 a.m. at the Parish of Saint Rita, 158 Mammoth Rd., Lowell. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
