Robert A. MacFadgen
TYNGSBOROUGH – Robert A. MacFadgen, age 80, a resident of Tyngsborough, and a former resident of Lowell and Arizona, passed away on April 29, 2021 at the Lowell General Hospital, with his family by his side. He was the husband of the late Patricia A. (Linton) MacFadgen.
He was born in Lowell, on August 15, 1940; he was a son of the late Warren L. Isabelle M. (McPhetres) MacFadgen. He was educated in the Lowell school system and was a graduate of Lowell Trade School class of 1958.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a mechanic for the former Butler Chevrolet and the former Hallisey Chevrolet for over 40 years. After leaving Hallisey work for BTU and Kokusai in Billerica till his retirement in 2003.
Robert enjoyed researching ancestry and being the family historian, doing crossword puzzles, traveling with his wife in their RV, working on Chevrolets and watching Oak Island.
He is survived by five children, Keith MacFadgen of Londonderry, William MacFadgen and his wife Pauline of Dracut, Barbara MacFadgen of Tyngsborough, Penny Blaser and her husband Karl of Tyngsborough, Iris MacFadgen-Belanger and her husband Marc of Hopedale, MA; eleven grandchildren, Ian, Jacob, Kristen, Julie, Jessica, Angelo, the Late Matthew, Amanda, Patrick, Christian and Zoey; eight great grandchildren, Noelle, Rosalie, Emmett, Colby, Matthew, Bradley, Temperance and Elijah; a sister in law Marie MacFadgen of Dracut; many nieces and nephews; and his extended family and friends in Arizona.
Thank you to all sister-in laws Phyllis, Arlene, Eleanor, Charlene and Carol for keeping in touch with him after Mom’s death.
He was also the brother of the late Warren MacFadgen Jr.
