Matthew B. Leva

Matthew B. Leva, age 34, a resident of Tyngsborough, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston.  He was the loving father of Payton (Pretty) Leva and Charlotte (Charlie) Toomey.

Born in Winchester on June 18, 1986, he was the son of Richard E. and Lynne A. (Cawthron) Leva.  He was raised in Billerica and was a graduate of Billerica Memorial High School and then served in the United States Coast Guard.  He was passionate about working as an irrigation installer for a local landscaping company. 

Matthew enjoyed the outdoors, especially sitting by the fire, spending time with his daughters, family and friends, working with his uncle on the weekends, being the first one on the dance floor, and was always eager to go snowboarding, camping, fishing and he gave the best hugs. He loved late night drives and long motorcycle rides. Every year he looked forward to his Summer family tradition 'family fun zoo day.' 

Surviving him in addition to his parents and daughters are two sisters and a brother in law, Brooke Leva of Westford and Nikki Bourgeois and her husband Edward of Tyngsborough; three nephews, Cameron, Vincent and Benjamin; a dear friend Samantha; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Saturday, February 20th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Kathryn Parish, 4 Dracut Rd., Hudson, NH.  Those attending the Mass will be required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.  For online condolences or directions, please visit www.tyngsboroughfuneralhome.com.
