Marie Ann C. (Poirier) Tremblay

Marie Ann C. (Poirier) Tremblay, age 72, a resident of New Boston, NH and a former longtime resident of Lowell, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 14, 2024.  She was the beloved wife for over 49 years of Paul J. Tremblay.

Born in Lowell on April 26, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Lucien M. and Claire (L’Heureux) Poirier and was educated in the Lowell school system.

Prior to her retirement, she worked for Harvard Community Health.

Marie Ann enjoyed playing video games on her iPad, talking on the phone with her girlfriends, playing cards and visiting with her sister-in-law Denise Gravelle or lifelong friend Judy Hodkinson, and taking trips to York Beach, Maine; but her true passion was spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving her in addition to her loving husband are two sons, John C. (Tremblay) Dupré and his husband Matthew Dupré of VA and Marc R. Tremblay and his wife Melissa Tremblay of New Boston, NH; three grandchildren, Kaden, Bryce, and Minnie; three brothers and three sisters-in-law, Henry and Theresa Poirier of Andover, Paul and Lorraine Poirier of Tyngsborough, and Norman and Denise Poirier of Tyngsborough; a sister and sister-in-law, Janine Ward and her wife Becky Smith of Tyngsborough;  an aunt, M. Lorraine L’Heureux of Lowell; an uncle, Leon L’Heureux of Lowell; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was also the sister of the late Lucien Poirier.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Committal Service on Monday, March 25th, 2024 at 12 noon in the Chapel at St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
