Lys Parrington

Lys Parrington, age 27, a resident of Tyngsborough, passed away suddenly on Friday, September 24, 2021, at her home.  She was the beloved wife of Michael Parrington.

Born in Likasi, Katanga, Congo, on March 17, 1994, she was a daughter of Therese Lukenge Kapwibwe.  She was educated in Congo and moved to the United States in 2014

Lys’s greatest love was her family and enjoyed spending time with them strolling through parks, visiting various beaches, county fairs, different weekend getaways and vacationing in Florida.

Everyone who met her, loved her. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her, she will be forever remembered as a great mom, wife, daughter, and an important friend and family member to all who she touched.

Surviving her in addition to her husband and mother are three daughters, Elysha, Mary Kate and Tessa; a son Kevin; two sisters, Brenda Shako Kikomba and her husband Thiery Omatuku Mumba and Roselito Otshudiongo; two brothers, Glawdis Shurgu Tshofu and his wife Tesy Mbwese Kamwanga and Idris Omba Kikomba all of Congo; her mother and father in-law James and Mary Kate Parrington of Dracut; her husband’s grandmothers Ann G. Cashman of Tyngsborough and Marion Parrington of Dracut; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, James “Jake” E. Parrington of Dracut, Melissa Cashman and her fiancé Kevin Ouellette of Tyngsborough, Sarahann Farrell of Nashua, Cynthia and Derick Scribner of Pelham and Michael Cashman of Lowell; also many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and dear friends of her in the US and in Congo.

Her husband Michel was blessed with a best friend, a beautiful mother of their home and a forever holder of his heart.

Relatives and friends will be received on Monday, Oct. 11th, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME, 4 Cassaway Drive, Tyngsborough. Her Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 12th, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Westford, 10 Church St., Westford.  The Funeral Service will be livestreamed and accessible through the Funeral Home website.  Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell.  For online condolences or directions, please visit, tyngsboroughfuneralhome.com.
