Jesse “Sam” Harris

Sam Harris, age 58, a resident of Lowell, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Lowell General Hospital.  He was the beloved husband of Carol (Anstiss) Harris.

Born in Castro Valley, CA on February 2, 1963, he was a son of the late Jesse W. Harris and June M. (Attyd) Earl.  He served in the U.S. Army from 1982 until his honorable discharge in 1985.

Sam enjoyed listening to Elvis and KISS, watching football and cooking.  His most cherished pastime was spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a cook at Cote’s Market on Salem Street in Lowell.

Surviving him in addition to his wife Carol, are two daughters, Sandra Norton and her spouse Shane, Amy Gotham and her spouse Staci Ellington, three sons, Edward Gotham and his companion Ashley Lower, Sean Harris and Ryan Harris; five grandchildren, Kara Norton, Idis Ellington, Dani Ellington, Arthur Norton and Cecily Ellington. He is survived by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Claire & Denis Larose, William & Kelly Anstiss, Catherine Anstiss & Kevin Archambault, Karen Dejesus, Robert Anstiss & Carol Langlois, Joseph & Michelle Anstiss, Jerry Anstiss and George & Jennifer Anstiss. Very good friends Kevin & Donna Gagne, several nieces and nephews too many to list.  He was the brother of the late Deena Langlois and Michael Harris.
