Jeannine (Martin) Pellerin Obituary

Jeannine P. Pellerin (Martin), 75, a long-time resident of Raynham, formerly of Stoughton, died peacefully at The Dr. Ruth McLain Hospice Home in Braintree on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, after a difficult battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.  Daughter of the late Omer and Laurette (Bergeron) Martin, she was born and raised in Lowell, MA.  Jeannine was a graduate of Lowell Trade and Vocational High School, class of 1963, graduating as the salutatorian and voted Most Dependable, as her senior superlative.  She then went on to work as a hairdresser for 55 years, including owning her own shop, Jeannine’s Hair Design’s in Mansfield, MA.  However, her greatest accomplishment was becoming a mother and raising her three children.  She moved from Lowell to Stoughton in 1978 with her former husband, Donald L. Pellerin, also of Lowell, where they raised their family and were active members in their local church, Our Lady of the Rosary.  She later resided in Raynham for 15 years before her health declined.

In her early years, Jeannine had a paper route delivering for the Lowell Sun.  She was a proud Girl Scout, a cheerleader and a member of the basketball team.  Jeannine always enjoyed staying active; singing in the community chorus, playing softball, bocce, walking and riding her bike in her neighborhood, and fundraising for the community’s Holiday party; but, she was most happy spending time with her family.

Jeannine is survived by her daughter Renee Boyd, of Kingston, her son Kevin Pellerin, of Brighton and her daughter Lisa Keshishian, and her husband Jason, of Kingston.  She is also survived by her brother Raymond Martin of Dracut, her brother Roger Martin and his wife Adele of Dracut, her brother Roland Martin of Dracut and his late wife Joan, and her sister Diane Martin Greenwood, and her husband Richard, of Moultonboro, NH.  She will be greatly missed by her four grandchildren, Abigail Boyd, Tanner Boyd, Mason Keshishian, and Grace Keshishian.  Jeannine is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held at the Tyngsborough Funeral Home, on 4 Cassaway Drive, Tyngsborough, on Friday, May 20, 2022, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Rita’s Parish, on 158 Mammoth Road, Lowell, Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 10:00 AM.  Interment will follow immediately after.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeannine’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452, or The Dr. Ruth McLain Hospice Home, 670 Washington Street, Braintree, MA 02184.
