Doris M. (Lambert) Gariepy

TYNGSBOROUGH – Doris M. (Lambert) Gariepy, age 90, a resident of Tyngsborough, MA and Jupiter, FL, passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at her home.  She was the loving wife of 68 years to the late Normand L. Gariepy, who died on June 13, 2021, just five short weeks earlier.

Born in Lowell on August 1, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Beatrice (Couture) Lambert.  She was a graduate of the Academy of Notre Dame in Tyngsborough.

Doris worked at Lambert's Market in the Pawtucketville section of Lowell before she married Normand and raised a family. She also worked for the Town of Dracut in the Treasurer’s Office for over 20 years before retiring to spend time with her children and grandchildren.

Along with her husband she enjoyed traveling in the United States and Europe, spending time with her loving family and sitting in her swing watching the grandchildren and great grandchildren enjoy the lake. She always looked forward to spending winters in Florida and summers on Lake Mascuppic.

She is survived by three sons and three daughters-in-law; Brian and Sally Gariepy of Glen, NH, Ken and Carol Gariepy of Methuen and Rick and Kathy Gariepy of Dracut; seven grandchildren, Jeff, Jenn, Dan, Casey, Jill, Craig and Tanner; seven great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Piper, Ellie, Paige, Jayden, Annabelle and Carson; a brother, Donald Lambert of Bedford, NH; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also the sister of the late Robert and Leon Lambert.
