Denis E. Corbeil

Denis East Corbeil, 67, of North Stratford, NH passed away peacefully at his home on January 14, surrounded by his family following a hard-fought battle with cancer.  He was born in Lowell, MA on February 16, 1955, he was a son of Charles and Gloria (East) Corbeil. Denis graduated from Lowell Trade School in 1974.

Denis was a skilled craftsman and carpenter.  He worked hard to establish his own business and was very proud of receiving high honors in the Dale Carnegie Course.  He established Corbeil Construction and spent over 40 years working for himself.  Denis reveled in being his own boss.  After moving north and wanting stake in the community, he sat on the Planning Board for the town of Stratford. 

Denis loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren.  In his younger years he enjoyed fishing and hunting and after moving north to build his cabin he developed a love for snowmobiling.  He was a member of the Stratford Nighthawks and took pride in grooming the trails each winter.  Denis spent many years as an active member of Boy Scout Troop 7 in Lowell, both as a child and as an adult modeling the positive ways of Scouting for others. 

Denis was predeceased by both of his parents; Charles and Gloria (East) Corbeil, his brother Roger and his first beloved dog, Rosie.  He leaves behind his wife Sharon (Muscovitz) Corbeil; his two daughters Jodie-Lynn Corbeil and her partner Barrett Christina; Susan (Corbeil) Johnson and her husband Zachariah; and stepson, Jeffrey Muscovitz.  He leaves behind his sister Charlene (Corbeil) Cote and her husband, Jean; his brother, Roy Corbeil and his wife, Lorraine; his sister Nancy (Corbeil) Marchand and her husband Henri; many nieces and nephews; and his cherished grandchildren Tyler, Abigail, Tatum, Piper, Eleanor and Mackenzie.  In addition to family, Denis leaves behind some very dear friends.  He also will be missed by his naughty dog, Buddy. 

Relatives and friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough, on Thursday, Jan., 19, from 10 am to 12 noon.  His Committal Service will follow at 1 pm in the Chapel of St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Stratford, NH. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Riverside Animal Rescue in Lunenburg, VT or North Country Home Health and Hospice Agency in Littleton, NH.
