Brian Leslie Marinel
lifelong Tyngsborough resident, 90
Brian Marinel, affectionately known as “Buzz” to those who knew him best, of Tyngsborough, MA, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2021.
Brian was surrounded by his family and will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 70 years, Dorothea Simpson Marinel; his daughter Marlene Makevich and husband Thomas; his son Bruce Marinel and wife Kathy; and his late son Douglas Marinel; grandchildren Crystal Marinel and husband David; Aaron Marinel and wife Ariel; Jared Marinel and wife Kelly; Ashley Tzelias and husband George; and Tayla Makevich. Brian's life was fulfilled by his great-grandchildren; Jacob, Athenrye, and Miles Marinel; Andrew Goyette; and Christos Thomas, Alexius, and Anastasia Tzelias. Born and raised in Tyngsborough, Brian served in the Navy and is a veteran of The Korean War.
Brian enjoyed spending time with family and friends, holding a special place in his heart for best friend and great-grandson, Jacob. When he was not at home, Brian could be found watching the horse races at Rockingham Park or playing the tables at Foxwoods. He was always waiting for that big win, but those who were blessed to have known him were the lucky ones.
Brian will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but they are comforted knowing he lived a long, accomplished life. Brian's last months were spent being cared for by his devoted granddaughter, Tayla. In granting his wishes, funeral services will be private. For online condolences, please visit www.tyngsboroughfuneralhome.com.
