PAULINE T. DUCHARME

Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother

 

Pauline T. (Lagasse) Ducharme, age 88, of Westford, MA,  formally of Dracut and Lowell MA passed away on April 24, 2018 peacefully  at home, surrounded  by her loving family.  She was the beloved wife of Robert L. Ducharme and they were married on September 30, 1950.  Their loving union flourished throughout 67 years of marriage and their devotion to each other was unwavering through sickness and in health.  They lived for each other’s happiness and enjoyed a wonderful life together. 

Pauline was born on February 26, 1930 to the late Archille and Dorothy (Dufault) Lagasse.  She was the eldest child of 15 children.  She attended Lowell Schools and St Louis Academy.  She was employed by the former R. Rosembloom Paper Co. of Lowell and the former Medical Associates of Chelmsford.  Pauline was a member of St. Catherine’s of Alexandria Parish of Westford. 

Pauline enjoyed many years of camping with her husband and children.  After retirement, she enjoyed traveling and spending winter months in Florida.  Her pastimes included reading and jigsaw puzzles.  Most of all, Pauline cherished her family and enjoyed spending quality time with her children, grand-children and great-grandchildren. 

Surviving her in addition to her loving husband Robert is her devoted son Steven and wife Audrey of Westford whom they resided with for many years; a cherished daughter Karen McKay and her husband Scott of Hampton, VA; six grandchildren, Kimberley Judd and her husband Steve of Westford, MA; Pamela Chong and her husband Gary of Pelham NH; Heather Bellemore and her husband Tim of Westford, MA; Heidi Sullivan and her husband Jason of Westford, MA; Carrie Tremblay of Bowie, MD and Stephanie Tremblay of Hampton, VA; six great- grandchildren, Stevie, Samantha, Ryan, Anna, Chloe and Patrick; six special sisters and two brother-in-laws, Jeannette Guillemette of Nashua, NH; Irene Ricard of Westford, MA; Lucille Delfino of Elyria, Ohio, Ruth Rachel Arsenault of Loudon, NH; Dorothy Sjoman and husband Paul of Fort Pierce, FL; Rose Gatteney and husband Louie of Orlando, FL; three loving brothers, Armand Lagasse and wife Anita of Chelmsford, MA; Andre Lagasse and wife Theresa of Westford, MA; Archille Lagasse and wife Meg of Hanover, MA; two sister-in- laws Sue Lagasse and Dorothy (Cookie) Lagasse and two brother-in-laws Dan Leahey and Roger Suprenant and many dear nieces and nephews and very special friends.

She was predeceased by her loving daughter Michelle Ste Marie and husband William formerly of Dracut, MA; two sisters, Doris Proulx and Bernadette Leahey, and three brothers, Leon, Robert and Raymond Lagasse; two sister-in-laws Joanne Lagasse and Suzanne Lagasse; five brother-in-laws, Lionel (Rick) Ricard, Robert Guillemette;  Richard Arsenault, Philip Delfino and Raymond Proulx.

Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease Association,  P.O.Box 105, Glenolden, PA  19036  In Memory of Pauline Ducharme.  Pauline’s  Great Granddaughter suffers from this disease.
