Michelle Jeanne Starr

On July 26, 2018, the world lost a true Matriarch. Michelle Jeanne Starr, 71, formally of Acton, MA, passed away at her home in Tyngsborough, MA after a three year battle with cancer. A caring wife, mother, sister, aunt and most loving ‘Nani’ to her grandchildren.

Our mom had incredible strength. She will be remembered most for her infectious personality and passion for helping others. The impact and positive influence she had on her family, friends, students and colleagues is immeasurable and will live on in the hearts of all those whose lives she touched.

Michelle was proud, selfless, feisty and stubborn. Always able to maintain her sense of humor in the toughest of times. Mom will be remembered for many things including her love of education, children, music and the holidays but her compassion for all people, especially those who were struggling, will be her legacy. Michelle passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her children.

Michelle is survived by her second husband David Starr, and her four children: Kimberley McDonald of Dunstable, MA, Kristin Coyne and spouse Scott Coyne of Billerica, MA, Jessica Winders and spouse Jonathan Winders of Boylston, MA and Nicholas Gould and spouse Kelly Gould of Raleigh, NC, her seven grandchildren Chloe McDonald, Kyleigh McDonald, Olivia Coyne, Aiden Coyne, Samantha Gould, Harry Winders and Emerson Gould, and her two sisters, Karen Butler of Northbridge, MA and Betsy Parke of Westford, MA and many nieces and nephews from her large extended family. Michelle is preceded in death by her first husband Harry P. Gould, her parents Raymond and Jeanne St. Martin, and her three brothers: Gary St. Martin, Mark St. Martin, and Scott St. Martin.

We wear the genes you gave us with pride – we love you, Mom.
