Maria J. Frye

Maria J. (Ferreira) Frye, age 46, passed away at her home on April 30, 2019, with her family by her side.  She was the beloved wife of Christopher R. Frye and loving mother of her two sons Cooper and Jayden.

Born in Portugal on March 15, 1973, she was a daughter of Manuel and Adelina (Dos Santos) Ferreira of Woburn.

Maria’s family moved to the United States when she was a child.  They settled in Woburn, MA, where she was raised and educated.

She later received an associate’s degree from Middlesex Community College.

Maria was employed as an Early Childhood Teacher for Shawsheen Valley Technical High School in Billerica.

She enjoyed animals; nature, traveling and trips to Yellowstone National Park, but what was her greatest love were her family and the time she spent with Cooper and Jayden.

Surviving her in addition to her husband, sons and parents are her siblings, Joe and his wife Helene Ferreira of Tewksbury, John Ferreira of Peabody, Humberto and his wife Elena Ferreira of Tewksbury, Noelia Ferreira and her partner Robert Bernier of Dracut, Dewey and his wife April Ferreira of North Andover, Tony Ferreira of Woburn and Paul Ferreira of Woburn; her father and mother in law, Ralph and Sue Frye of Tyngsborough; nieces and nephews, Brenna, Quinn, James, Matthew, Ava, Katelyn, Abigail, Justin and Laila,; also many uncles, aunts and cousins.

Relatives and friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME, 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough on Sunday afternoon from 2 to 6 p.m. Funeral Monday morning with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 95 Lakeview Ave., Tyngsborough.
