Loving mother and grandmother

LOWELL – Lucille A. (Lessard) Azarowski, age 94, a longtime resident of the Highlands section of Lowell, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 19, 2019. She was the wife of the late John J. Azarowski. 

Born in Lowell, on April 18, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Joseph H. and Marie Anne (Grenon) Lessard.

Lucille was an active communicant of the former Notre Dame de Lourdes Parish and was a member of their Ladies Sodality and Choir.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the City of Lowell as a traffic supervisor. 

Lucille enjoyed traveling, was an avid reader and always looked forward to family gatherings. 

She is survived by two sons and two daughters in law, Michael J. and Alice Azarowski of Townsend, MA and Stephen P. ans Cheryl Azarowski of Lowell; a daughter and son in law, Mary Ann Desrosiers and her husband Robert of Merrimack, NH; eight grandchildren, Sean, Renee, Michael, Jennifer, Jessica, Gregory, Kristina and Meghan; twelve great grandchildren; a sister, Rita Lussier of Lowell; a sister in law, Sheila (Clement) Lessard of Lowell; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also the mother of the late Ronald R. Azarowski and sister of the late J. Roland Lessard, Estelle Lapointe, Robert Lessard and Raymond Lessard.

Relatives and friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough on Thursday morning from 9 to 11 a.m.  Her Funeral Service will take place immediately following at 11:30 a.m. in the Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury.
