Loving husband, father and grandfather
Bryan M. Oakes, age 56, a resident of Lowell and a former longtime resident of Tyngsborough, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2019 at the Lowell General Hospital, with loved ones by his side, after a brief battle with cancer. He was the loving husband of Corrinne Y. (Bussiere) Murphy.
Born in Lowell on January 15, 1963, he was a son of the late George and Sylvia (Richards) Denham.
Prior to his illness, Bryan worked as a mechanic for West Shore Auto in Pelham.
He was an avid car enthusiast whom enjoyed working on cars and was always eager to assist anyone who had car trouble.
Bryan loved spending time with family and friends especially his grandchildren.
Surviving him in addition to his wife are four sons, George Oakes of Hudson, NH, Alan Murphy Jr. of Hudson, NH, Shawn Murphy of Lowell and Steve Bailey of Lowell; two daughters and a son in law, Laura Murphy of Lowell and Katie Murphy and her significant other Daniel Donahue of Gardner, MA; two grandchildren, Connor Harvey and Jasmine Bailey; a brother and sister in law, Douglas and Kelly Oakes of Lowell; an Aunt Nora of Manchester, NH and two dear friends, Bob Anderson of Lowell and Sasha Morning of Lowell; also nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends will be received on Monday, Sept. 9 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough.
